Goodbyes are not good part deux...

Especially when there is alcohol involved...

Prior to leaving Raleigh, I wanted to get everyone together for one last night on the town. I threw myself a going away party at the Blue Martini, but prior to the shindig, my friend Lisa treated me and some of my bestests to a delicious meal at Piccola Italia in Cameron Village. Man it was so delish! And for the second time that week, I had eaten at a place I had never been to in my four years in Raleigh. (The first time being Sadlacks for some delish sammy's with Meredith and Mary Holt).

Anyway, after some yummy red wine and stuffed shells, we headed back to Lisa's, where the reindeer games began. I say reindeer games because Tic Tac Shots were made, you know to make sure we started the night off right, and they were served in the cutest reindeer glasses. They each had a name on them along with a cute lil graphic depicting the name, so what do we do? We make up a game that if we do not call each other by our reindeer names the entire night, we have to drink. Not good. (For the record, I was Vixen...and her lil glass showed her with a boa around her neck...so dang cute.)

We arrived at the Blue Martini feeling quite nice and continued playing those reindeer games.

People started arriving, which was awesome, but I just knew as the night went on, that it meant the goodbyes would be coming sooner...something I had been avoiding ever since I made my decision to move out west. So I tried to have fun and not think about why we all happened to be together this very night.

After many many many tearful goodbyes, or see you laters, or whatever you want to call them, I decided to a). accidentally leave my black Rainbows at the Blue Martini for someone to steal(which should score me some points for wearing heels all night long) b). head to the Point to try to close the place down on my last night in town....or what I thought would be my last...
