Ride em Cowgirl!!!

No I didn't go horseback riding this past weekend, but I did go to the Atomic Cowboy, a bar out here in Denver to get my Friday really started off right. New bar, Connect Four...it doesn't really get any better than this.

Kerri, pictured at left, claimed to be the best ever and undefeated at Connect Four...until a few glasses of red wine and a few beers Melanie came along! I felt so accomplished...winning makes you feel so good, especially when someone claims to be so awesome :).

Woke up Saturday morning, not feeling so hot, to a glorious sunny day in the 70's. I received a text message from my friend Brett (went to high school with Brett and reconnected thru Facebook to learn that he too was living in Denver) wanting me to join him and his friends for some beers and bocce ball in the park. Of course I wanted to say yes, but I was having to work that afternoon at my stupid retail gig...bummer...because beers and bocce ball are WAY better than folding stupid sweaters...can you tell I am really happy there?

The only thing that really made me go in to work was knowing that I would be working with my new friend Amanda. She pretty much rules. So I made it in...and on time...despite waking up from my nap a little late because I still was not feeling 100%. I worked an awesome 4 hours (insert sarcasm), and was thankful for my shift to be over. One would think that when one is unemployed that one would want to actually work and make some money. Not this girl.

After our shift though, we went to dinner at Kona Grill, yep in the mall where we work, and had some yummy pizza and a bottle of wine. And after dinner, we thought we would go have a little bit more, and at the California Pizza Kitchen across from Kona, yep still in the mall. And in typical fashion, we had more than one more glass and ended up closing the place down...but remember we were still in the mall so that meant it was about 11:00 PM.

So why stop there, right? We headed then to her neighborhood bar, The Elm, which is the 'sister' bar to the Spot, where the fun continued for just a few more beers. And then it was time to call it a night, but what a fun one it was!

Got up Sunday to another glorious day and we headed to the Spot to watch some football...

And that was my weekend in a nutshell...and another fun weekend fast approaching...I am leaving for Vegas on Friday morning and returning Monday, just in time for Jason Mraz! Oh yeah and then the weekend after that...going to the Broncos game! Man I love it here!

Dang girl, you make me want to move to a new city in a really bad way...
Hmmmm, come to think of it, we do have an office located in Denver.

Have a freaking awesome time in VEGAS! I can't wait to hear all about it!
